Cancer is the fourth sign of the zodiac, lasting from approximately 23 June to approximately 23 July.
Most Cancerians have a sympathetic, emotional and sensitive nature, that is kind, warm-hearted and affectionate, but they tend to be affected by the phases of the Moon more than the other signs of the zodiac, which makes them quiet, moody and temperamental or changeable at times, and quite difficult to understand. However, their moods are not long-lasting and can vary like the wind. As a rule they are very caring people who will go out of their way to be helpful to others.
Usually the Cancer personality is gentle, sentimental, very intuitive and imaginative. Moon subjects have a sympathetic heart that is very vulnerable, and easily hurt. Many are inclined to be hoarders, and store away food, clothes, and anything that might come in useful for a rainy day. Others like collecting works of art, pictures, old books, stamps or trinkets, and will not discard anything of sentimental value.
Cancer people are not usually wildly ambitious; once they become established, they hold on grimly to material assets, and refuse to let go. On the whole, they make good business people, because they are thrifty, shrewd, and careful. There is more tenacity in Cancer than in any of the other signs. A business project in hand will surely be brought to a satisfactory conclusion. But in personal matters, a Cancerian will cling on to a failing relationship when all other signs would call it a day.
Moon subjects tend to be wary of strangers, and are careful and selective when forming new friendships. Most Cancerians have strong feelings towards children, home and loved ones. They like plants, flowers, and gardens, and are usually gifted artistically.
